Who we are

Salpim is operated by 주식회사 플로우기획 (Flow Planning Co., Ltd.), 4F, 118 Seocho-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea (business registration no. 773-86-03472), registered with the Seoul Metropolitan Government as a facilitator for international patients (no. A-2026-01-01-06659). This policy covers this website, the Salpim web app (www.thesalpim.com/care and your account at app.thesalpim.com) and the Salpim mobile apps. What we collect

When you contact us. Through our contact forms: your name, email address, phone number (optional), country, the treatment you are interested in, your preferred dates and your message.

When you use a Salpim account. Your account details, such as your name and email address. When you send an appointment request: your name in English as it appears in your passport, your nationality, your passport number if you add it, your contact details, your preferred dates, whether you need an interpreter, airport or hotel pickup details with your flight or hotel if you ask for pickup, and any notes you add.

Automatically. Technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you request, in server and security logs, and the essential cookies described in our cookie policy. We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server: it sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and cannot identify you. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

When you use the Care Assistant. Your answers are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to suggest suitable packages. We do not send your name or contact details with them. Please do not type information you do not want to share.

Health information. Your message or request may reveal information about your health, such as the treatment you are interested in. We use it only to handle your enquiry or request.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions and help you plan your care.
• To send your appointment request to the clinic you choose, and to keep you updated about it.
• To run, secure and improve Salpim.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• The clinic you choose. When you send an appointment request, the clinic receives the details of that request so it can review and confirm it.
• Service providers that help us run Salpim, under agreements that protect your data: OVHcloud (our servers), Cloudflare (content delivery, security, and encrypted storage of documents and backups), Brevo (sending our emails) and OpenAI (the Care Assistant’s suggestions).
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where it is processed

Salpim is operated from the Republic of Korea. Our servers are in Canada (OVHcloud), Cloudflare works worldwide, Brevo in the European Union and OpenAI in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Korea, with safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires:

• account information until you delete your account; within 30 days after that, your personal information is deleted or anonymised, except what the law requires us to keep;
• Care Assistant conversations of visitors without an account: 90 days;
• messages sent through our contact forms: 12 months;
• security logs: up to 12 months.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, ask us to stop processing it, or withdraw your consent. To do so, write to [email protected]. In your Salpim account you can download a copy of your information and delete the account at any time.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypt sensitive information such as passport numbers, health notes and uploaded documents where it is stored, limit access to the people who need it, require two-factor sign-in for our staff, and protect our systems with security measures appropriate to the information we hold.

Children

Salpim is not intended for children under 14. If you are a parent or guardian arranging care for a child, please contact us first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make important changes, we will tell you on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
